Quiet & Comfortable
No mask, no hose and no machine noise at night.
For many people with mild to moderate obstructive sleep apnea, a custom-fitted oral appliance is a comfortable alternative to CPAP. Our dentists screen your airway, fit your appliance and work together with your doctor.

How it works
An oral appliance looks similar to a sports mouthguard. Worn at night, it gently holds the lower jaw forward, which helps keep the airway open so you can breathe and sleep more easily.
Diagnosis comes from a sleep study. We coordinate with your physician or a sleep clinic, use 3D CBCT imaging to assess the airway when needed and custom-fit an appliance for suitable patients.

Yes. A sleep study confirms whether you have sleep apnea and how severe it is. We can help coordinate this with your doctor or a sleep clinic.
Some patients notice mild jaw or tooth tenderness at first, which usually settles. We check your bite at follow-up visits and adjust the appliance as needed.
Some extended health plans include coverage when sleep apnea is diagnosed. We are happy to help you check your plan.
